Nestled deep in the Hamersley Ranges at the base of the towering Mount Nameless is the town of Tom Price, in the heart of Western Australia’s Pilbara region. Home to one of the world’s richest Iron Ore deposits mined by Rio Tinto, Lestok Tours have been conducting comprehensive tours of this mine site for over 30 years.  A must-do when visiting the Pilbara region, this one of a kind experience takes you behind the scenes of one of the world’s largest open cut mines for a 1.5 hour tour.

Starting at the Tom Price Visitor Centre, guests are prepped for their unique mine experience and supplied with safety glasses and a hard hat.

Travelling in air-conditioned comfort, be treated to full commentary from your guide en-route to the mine.

Visit the pit lookout for panoramic views over the mine site (bring your camera!) and view the enormous Haul Trucks and machinery at work as you travel to the process plant and onto the train load out area.

Your expert guide will give you up to date information and a unique insight into this large scale operation - from taking the ore out of the ground, through the crusher, along the conveyors to loading into the massive carts on some of the longest trains in the world.
